Following a Europe-wide review of the cardiovascular safety of Rosiglitazone (Avandia, Avandamet), the MHRA have updated the drug's safety profile when used on its own or in combination with insulin, finding that the balance of risks and benefits of rosiglitazone remain favourable in its licensed indications.
