Australian scientists examining risk-taking behaviour in male skateboarders have shown that the presence of an attractive female promotes risk-taking behaviour in this group, and that this is associated with a rise in salivary testosterone levels. Whilst the researchers are pleased with their findings, the results of the increased risk-taking behaviour were perhaps less successful, producing more successes but also more crash landings.
