Experimental biology is the study of the form and function of animals and plants at all levels of organisation from the molecular and cellular to the whole organism. It therefore encompasses a wide variety of life sciences and directly contributes to developments in agriculture and medical sciences.

As the CEO, the successful applicant will provide clear leadership and direction to the Society's staff, supporting the Council to deliver strong governance, and raising the charity's profile and influence.

Well-established leadership skills are required for the role, as well as a working knowledge of financial management and a background in life sciences. The deadline for applications is 20 August 2010. For more information please visit the Society for Experimental Biology homepage.
