The National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Academic Clinical Fellowships are aimed at those who, in the early stages of their specialty training, demonstrate outstanding potential for a career in academic medicine.

Fellows will undertake a three year specialty training post that incorporates academic training, and during this time will receive support in preparing applications to higher research degrees to follow on from the experience gained whilst on the fellowship.

Recruitment is via the deaneries, although please follow the link below to find out more about the fellowship programme. A number of posts in diabetes and endocrinology are available country-wide. The deadline for applications to this round of recruitment is 31 March 2011.
