Calcium pills 'increase' risk of heart attack (BBC News Online, 29 July 2010)

A meta-analysis of trials on calcium supplementation published in the British Medical Journal has found that calcium supplementation can increase the risk of heart attack by 30%. The study excluded trials where vitamin D was co-administered with calcium.
