The National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Health Technology Assessment (HTA) programme produces independent research about the effectiveness of different healthcare treatments and tests for those who use, manage and provide care in the NHS.
A new comissioned call for proposals has been released, whereby the NIHR HTA programme identifies key areas where clinical practice needs to be assessed and funds proposals that will best address the issues.
Included in the current commissioned call for proposals are screening for diabetic eye disease, mineral supplementation in the elderly and MRI in the staging of cancer.
The deadline for initital submission of proposals is 13.00, 1 September 2010. Please follow the link below for more information.
